Repurpose Cel phone screens

Hi,
I have a few Nokia popular 3120b phones .
I'd like to try using the screens via an MCU drive.

Has anyone any experience with these screens?

Yes they are basically a I2C graphics display.

Heres a link for a different model but they are all very simular just different pinouts.

If you google there is lots of data on the net that i found when i used them some years back.

Thx for the link, but they want a subscription for the article. If I had access to a bit of code, basic or asm showing the comms that would be a decent start point.

Here is the bas file from the article i listed above.
It is for a picaxe, the code to the articles are a free download and can be found under .......Downloads on the SC page.

I did not like the way they done their code so we wrote our own, but it should give an idea of what is required.

There is several other projects on SC that use the nokia displays and a search might find you more information.
