Hi all

I have a pet project I have been working on for years, last time i worked on it, many of you assisted me and i am grateful for that. That is also the reason I am back here. :)

I have half of a scoreboard working perfectly on a breadboard. 2 digits - counts up, down and resets.

Here is the problem...
I dont remember most of what I did its been so long.

The chips i'm using are SN74LS47N, SN74LS14N, SN74LS192N.

I assure you all I did do my own work on this, its just been over a year since I touched it last. Put it in a closet and let it be.
My background is in IT, not so much electronics.
I need help in creating a PCB to transfer it to and recreate the other side of the board.

I dont know how or who can get whats on my board to something i can solder.

Tips? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Its kind of like those books of mazes that my parents would give us kids to keep us busy on long car trips.

If I may make a suggestion, dig up the old thread and re-read it. Use that to reconstruct the circuit. The hard part is to check the newly drawn circuit against the breadboard, but you can do it.

If you could Draw-Up a proper Schematic, I could Draft up a PCB and etch it for you.

thanks but therein lies my problem - i cant draw it currently - i have drawings that are close to it, but thats not good enough. as you can see in my picture its working. Im going to try to recreate it on another breadboard and then if all goes well draw my conclusion. i dont see much other option at this point

I will definitely take you up on your offer once i get it set.

I have an Up/Down Counter that is fairly Simple.
It can easily be converted to a Two digit Score board.

With One Push Button for Count up One digit with each push.
One Push Button for Count Down One digit with each push.
One Push Button for Reset Displays to Zero.

It is designed for Common Cathode Displays

thats exactly what i want - my leds are MXA-002 and currently setup for Common Annode, and the chips i'm using are SN74LS47N, SN74LS14N, SN74LS192N - but im more than open to suggestions/change

The Circuit I have uses two CD40110's and I plan to also use two 555's as Debounce for the Push buttons.

Unfortunately, Converting it to Common Anode displays would require the Addition of Numerous Transistors.

If you want to discuss this, Email me your Phone Number.
The USA is a Free Call for me.

Ill send it to you - the MXA-002 boards can be very easily setup as Common Cathode rather than annode. Mine are Annode due to the chips i have. again - very willing to change it

Nice Chatting with you.
I will get this done as soon as I can, as I explained on the phone.

Take care......Gary
