shifting using 74hc165

I am doing a project where i have to shift 0-255 in decimal....8 bits to the pic microcontroller pic18f4620......how can i do it....means i have to shift 8 input bits in 8 clock cycles not in one clock cycle.....pls someone help me in this regard
