Attached is a schematic for a Dual LM7805 power supply. I want to achieve redundancy, current is not an issue, is this the correct way to proceed? The diodes show are not the ones that would be used in the actual circuit.
The diodes ruin the excellent voltage regulation of an IC regulator.
If you buy name-brand ICs and not fakes from China then one IC should last perfectly for a long time.
