Hi Everyone!

I am new to this forum and am really excited about checking out some of the circuit ideas people have come up with.

I am trying to design a simple LED flash that simulates a camera flash. It will be triggered by an Atmel microcontroller. It is not going to be used for a camera flash, but I want it to react the same way. Super bright white LED flash which has a fade away effect just like a Xenon flash. I am pretty sure this can be done with a resistor, capacitor, and a transistor. Has anybody done anything like this before?

Thanks for your help!

Gerry

You can try this. You may need to adjust pulse length and parts to get the desired effect. This is a 20 ma. Led pulsed at near 100 ma.
