Hi

I am trying to biuld a model size lift/press using electro magnets or a solanoid.

So far every thing I have found is industrial size and I am looking for an example.

Thanks for your ideas

Hi

The solanoid or electro magnetic lift is to raise a plastic sheet:
300cm (squaree) - Slightly bigger than a VHS tape
Wieghing 10gramms
Rising slowly to desired position
Returning to its start positiop.

Thanks, ill look at the link now

Rising slowly to desired position
A solenoid is the wrong part for the job then. They have a quick snap action.
A servo or other geared motor with a cam would be more suitable if you want it to operate slowly.
