Small project Idea

Hello everyone,
I am seeking some help to have some ideas for a project that I am required to do. I've been thinking for a week now and I found nothing that is cool. I am a mechanical engineering student so my project should not be very complicated since we did learn how to use a small number of components (component list attached) I can use other components but I will have to research how to use them (not a problem ). I would like to add that this project should be for one or two people to make (if it was a bit complex).

You could make a 4 LED chaser using:
4x LEDs,
2x dual JK FF,
1x quad OR gate,
1x hex inverter gate,
1x 555 timer,
some resistors and caps.
