I wonder is anyone out there who is familiar with DC fan?

I have a friend, who is doing a project using DC fan, wants to find out what are the characteristics (angle of blades, diameter of the fan, speed..etc) of a fan to maximize the cooling efficiency. Any websites about this would be good enough.

the only real way to do that is to measure it, if you can find the fans supplier site, it might help with speed and diameter, but the only way really is to measure.

You might start with a text on aerodynamics, especially the chapter on propellers, to understand the relationship between lift and induced drag. The more lift you produce, the more drag you get. The more drag you get the harder it is to go fast. Higher speed is good until the flow becomes turbulent and then adding more power probably won't help. Ducting is also helpful.
 
DC electric motors for model airplanes have spec's about different propellers affecting thrust and efficiency.

It forgot to say what happens when the tips of the blades have a speed faster than the speed of sound. Then it causes earthquakes?
