hi i know the theory and stuff,coz im studying electronics...but i wanna learn to implement...can u suggest some small proj that probably involves microcontroller or something like that.preferably something not too expensive...and something that'll give me a good practical knowledge.

That implies a jack and a connector, or a plug and a socket. Like the connector you use to plug something into a 9v battery.
