UTMonkey Member Nov 3, 2007 #1 Hi All, reading up on an IC which says:- "This <IC> can source of sink up to 200mA" By source I am guessing supply a logical high on its output pin of up to 200ma. What do sink mean? Thanks Mark

Krumlink New Member Nov 3, 2007 #2 That may be a 555, just guessing. Sink means that the chip is grounding it. So you would connect the LED (example) to voltage with a resistor and have the LED's cathode going into the output of the chip. The picture looks wierd but click on it and view it.
