Hello all,

NEWBIE here. I have a 91 telecaster that has a Stacked Concentric Pot on the tone knob.

Can anyone explain to me how this works? Why is it needed?

Thanks

A stacked pot basically allows simultaneous control of two or more circuits or components with the same adjustment. Both pots may be of the same olmic value, or they may differ.

Thanks for the info. So, this "stack" only really comes into full play when I have the toggle to the middle, which engages the nack and bridge pickups.
