I´ve assembled the circuit shown in this page:

just the detector, without the RF and audio stage, but it doesn´t work. I think it should oscillate, but when i use the osciloscope like the author says i can´t see anything. I´ve tried with different values for RFC2 but nothing changes.
I used a board with ground plane in one side and soldered the components in the other, making holes to connect terminals to ground.
If someone has experience with this sort of circuits and could give me some tips i would be very grateful.
