We are specifically looking for a side range of input voltage in a circuit. approx 8-200V AC/DC but might be able to slim that down to 8-120V AC/DC. It would be nice to find a component that has a built in bridge since we need to get to DC. Right now we just have a bridge and linear reg but can only tolerance 60V input.

Does anyone know of either a wider range linear reg or a switching reg or an integrated PS chip that will rectify and regulate? Our output is 5VDC but have some that need 12V. Current target is 1.5A

5 to 20 watts out.
8-200V AC and DC.
That is not easy! Because the output (12V) is larger than the input (8V) a simple buck supply will not work. so....bust/buck. 25:1 input voltage range is hard to do, so...current mode.
No built in bridge!
