terrarium controller

I need help on building my terrarium controller. I have no idea how to do it at all. I want to use PIC microcontroller to read the temperature and humidity inside my terrarium, controller the heater and fan. Does anyone have any idea how to do it and what parts to use to make this project? Thanks alot
