I have a 20x4 Hantronix LCD with an LED backlight. The Vin is 5V, Vf is 4.1V and the If is 90mA.

Pin 15 was connected to the resistor and to the 5V, pin16 was connected to the ground.

I connected this with a 10 ohms resistor to a 5V 1A circuit and the backlight does not light.

How can I test it? I used a 1W resistor because that was all I had can that prevent it from working? I am a couple of months into this project so I could have blown the LED. I have another of the same model with the same results, which is why I do not thing I blew the backlight.

Not sure what my next steps are?
