I'm working on a project to monitor device temperature by PC. If I can build a thermal sensor that behave like a microphone, I can use the sound card for data collection.
The norminal mic impediance is 600 ohms.
Please give me suggestions on selecting the right thermistor.
If you want to detect temperature on the mic port you have to code it so it sends digitali. The input of a mic is driven trugh a cap so it only detects difrences in voltege. So if you dont want to have any circuitry and more programing try the game port (To bad i cant get my game port working).I think the pontencimeters in joysticks are 120K
