hi,,,i am trying to control an Universal Motor in AC voltage, with triac,
can any one suggest a ready design for TRIAC...
thanks

Depending what the starting and running current is for the motor,
you can use a SC 151D as triac (15 A 400V) or BT 137F (8A 600V) and a BR 100 or er 900 diac to trigger the gate of the triac.
Then you need a pot meter, a couple of capacitors and resistors to make it work.
If attaching a schema wasn't so complicated i would attach it on this post.

...i would like to know depending on what i select capacitors and resistor value ,,,
could you attach a scheme,,or some equations..
thanks
