Hi
Some basic questions. Hope someone can verify.
1) Found a transformer lying around. It has 5 wires. On one side : 1 red, 1 yellow (centre wire) and 1 black. On the other, 2 grey wires. A paper on it says red inputs 115x2V, 50Hz. Output 6V 2VA.
a) Does this mean this transformer can be used for both 115V or 230V depending on how you wire?
b) What is the wiring then? Red-black for 230V, Yellow-red for 115V?
c) Either voltages, can I use four diodes to do a full bridge rectification to create a 6V DC (with regulator, etc).
2) A relay with the following specification :
- 6VDC
-10A 277VAC
-12A 125VAC
Does this mean that this relay can be used to switch on 115V AC mains (US?) and 220V AC mains (Europe?)?
Thanks!
