Hi, looking for help of any kind, suggestions, links etc for developing a UAV mounted ground penetrating radar device that can be used at altitudes higher than the current commercially available units. The unit would need to be able to detect metal & operate at between 80 - 150 meters. The target a group of us is looking for is a light aircraft that disappeared in rugged terrain in Australia 43 years ago, five men on board. The conditions are 30 - 50 degree mountain slopes, dense triple canopy vegetation. We believe the aircraft will possibly be buried by loose rotting vegetation or simply obscured by the triple canopy. Weight is a consideration, proposed mounting beneath DJI M350 which has payload capacity of 2.7kg. Several years ago we had a very talented person delevoping such a unit based on 77GHz, but unfortunately fell ill and passed away. My own qualifications are purely mechanical with only basic electrical knowledge. Would appreciate any feed back, cheers
