Universal preamplifier wiring

Pretty simple. The (-) wire gets referenced to the power supply negative as well as the "sleeve" connection of your jacks. Then connect the "tip" connections of your jacks to the In and Out, and the positive wire goes to the positive side of your supply -

It is a preamp for a low level microphone. I think a guitar pickup will overload it. But maybe you will like the severe distortion produced by overloading.

It's a piezo pickup (basically a crystal mike), not a magnetic pickup - so it needs a high impedance, fairly sensitive, preamp.
