UPS Design

I wanted to learn electronics by doing some practical project. I am thinking of doing UPS project, I am planningto search the design from internet. Kindly please advise me how easy or tough it is. I will not be spending full time on it may be 5 hours a week.

Reasonably difficult, maybe not a first project due to the high voltages.
