Using VNH on 24V supply

I have used VNH2SP30 On 12V supply successfully. Now I want to use the same on 24V supply. Though in datasheet the maximum given supply voltage is 41V my IC is no working above19V. So is there any other way of using the same IC on 24V supply?

41V may be the max to prevent chip damage, but the datasheet gives the operating Vcc max as 16V.

The 41V listed under "Absolute Maximum Ratings" is simply the voltage it can withstand without damage. The operating voltage is listed as a maximum of 16V. The chip has an internal over-voltage sensor and shutoff. You are going to either have to switch to the VNH3SP30, or use this one with a regulated supply of no more than 16V.
