I am currently trying to build a voice changer which will increase the pitch of an audio/voice signal, have run into a number of dead ends and over-complicated designs..I want to stay analogue and small. Would appreciate any help / schematics of previous designs for refrence?? thanks

Thanks everyone, read your replies, great help-- think i'm on the way  . need a chip tho nd cant seem to get my hands on it. the MSM6722/MS
6322 or the HT8950. anyone know where to get one?? :?:

You're looking at a complicated subject! - it's not a trivial task!.

For an analogue solution I would suggest generating a single sideband RF signal, then demodulating it back to audio with a BFO. By altering the BFO frequency you can alter the pitch of the voice - while keeping it's timing the same.

maybe go to a store and buy a cheap one, they cant be too expensive. Then maybe you can hack it to suit your purpose.

my sound card does this allready...
what is a sound Blaster live go for now ??
on amazon it is $30 new ...16 used...

https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/...e-name=all-product-search/104-1286926-3666341

it can change the pitch of your voice..

he didnt say anything about a portable solution..
solderstuff do you need it to be portable.?

But he did say 'small' (and a PC wouldn't be small), and he also said 'analogue'. Which rather rules out a soundblaster card and PC.

Application of helium gas will increase the pitch of a voice.
I think there are audio chips available to lower the pitch,
used by makers of diving equipment to correct the helium effect.

It might be worth checking them out.
