Wafer Card Datalogger

Dear All,

I am trying to make a wafer-card datalogger. I want it to plug into my motherboard (of my micro-based project) and record data from the TX line (which goes to the MAX232). I want to use a gold card (PIC16f84+24lc16b). Is it possible to do this? Or would i need another card The only inputs i would have available to the satellite board would be :

> +5 volts
> Ground (0V)
> Tx (0V/5V)

Yes, you could easily monitor the data in that way.

There doesn't seem to be a way to get to the eeprom without going through the PIC. Hmm.... Is there an error on the datasheet or is this the case?

No, you are quite right, the only way to the EEPROM is through the PIC.
