Hello Gentlemen,

I am a student in Electrical Engineering, Option: Control Systems. I got reoriented to Instrumentation.. Where I study, Control & Instrumentation are different specialties, and it's not Instrumentation AND Control.

We do share many common modules, though.

I must say that I've looked with different keywords in search engines, but as Mr Fravia said; "clusters"..

I assume some of you have an interest in Instrumentation (And Control Engineering, having studied that before getting reoriented.).

What I am looking for is forums/boards that are as great as this one, with a stress on Instrumentation.

Most boards I've found, well aren't that interesting, or contain "some" information, but the last posts are 3 or 4 weeks ago. Not reassuring.

So, what are some great (I'll settle for good) Instrumentation and Control Engineering boards.

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), etc ...

I'm looking for boards that are sharp, and discuss things like vendors and software used in detail (Schneider, Siemens, Yokogawa, ABB, Allen Bradley, Omron, General Electric being the most known/used and having offices in my country since pretty much a long time).

It doesn't have to be just forums, ANYTHING that is relevant to Instrumentation and Control would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Have a look at:

www.eng-tips.com

That is a professional discussion board and has sections related to control, instrumentation, PLC and SCADA type topics.

Thank you, JimB for your reply.

This one stood out when I did my search, among others .. I wanted confirmation from those who know better.

Are you familiar with the forums bellow, and what do you think about them..

These are the ones that look the best, in my opinion.. But I'm a beginner so..

Sorry, but I am not familiar with any of the fora on your list, so I cannot advise.
