J johnmac0117 New Member Apr 11, 2011 #1 Hi, bit of a newbie question I guess, but I have a capacitor marked 2A104J. I understand the 104 means 10 plus 4 zeros pF, so 100,000pF, & I think the J means +/- 5% tolerance, but what does the 2A mean? Appreciate any help, thanks.

crutschow Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Apr 11, 2011 #2 It's likely a product designation number unique to the manufacturer of the capacitor.
