It sounds like you're looking for an intuitive and accessible circuit design program to rekindle your interest in electronics. Many modern tools, like TinkerCAD Circuits or EasyEDA, are downloadable or browser-based, offering user-friendly interfaces for designing and simulating circuits. They support customization and can be scaled to your needs.
I have LTspice working. I started out with a small circuit battery connected to an LED then added a resistor. It takes practice to draw lines, rotate parts, add parks, change parts, etc.
I made another circuit LTspice wanted a time. Time has to be right or LTspice wants it changed.
Then I made a larger circuit with several parts for more practice putting a circuit together.
Then I did a circuit with 2 mosfets LTspice only expects part numbers that are already in memory. I learned IRF530 with capitol letters is the only mosfet I found so far that works. LTspice says this is good working circuit.
I made a 555 timer circuit also. LTspice wants a time so I type 1 and 1 for both answers but now can not find the option to change time to .001 and .001?
In the process of trying to find a way to change the time I clicked something that made a black screen. 15 minutes later I closed LTspice then open again black screen is gone circuit drawing gone also.
