What device did this come from?

I put my $10 into the guess jar and guess: vibrator motor from a newer mobile phone.
 
Hi gophert, is the "motor" held in place just with solder? It seems asking to much I guess. Lot of mechanicaal stress.
 
Maybe a wound component like a choke?

I didn't think that guess through very well - you're right, the solder would crack eventually. Looks like I'm out $10 if someone wants to stop by to collect.
