I don't recognize the symbol. I assume jp could be Japan
I font know what this switch was for..had them better 20yrs

It looks like it could be for operation via a linkage at the end, such as mode or band switching in older TVs or radios?

No idea on the maker, it could be a custom type for a specific manufacturer.

From my days of servicing 1970 to 2000 .
They were in a unmarked parts drawer.

I didn't know if the symbol was a known manufacturer.
Thought maybe went to a head on a tape deck..
