Windows LCD size, Hyperterminal like, program?

Gentlemen, do any of you know of a program that will function much like Hyperterminal, but with adjustable/programmable display size? For example, it could be configured with a display area of 1 x 16, 1 x 20, 1 x 40, 2 x 16, 2 x 20, 2 x 40, 4 x 40, etc., much like an LCD display, which would take up much less screen space...

I envy you guys with Windows programming expertise... I find myself stumbling each step of the way through Visual Basic 2005 express (arghhh)...
