Hi All:
I am sure this exists...a simple Windows utility (other than Terminal?) that will receive a comma delimited file from a PIC Serial over USB uplink and save it as a txt file.

The intent is to get the dataset into Excel.

Is this a better soln than terminal?

Any pointers?
thx

I did this a while ago in Excel itself using VBA but unfortunately I'm on the wrong computer at the moment. However, I would think most terminal programs should be able to do this so why not just try it and see?

PuTTY is the best terminal out there. And it is free. You can use Session Logging to save data to file.

If you need to get the data from PIC only few times, then using terminal is maybe the easiest way. If you need to read the data many times.. every day etc. Then you may want a better solution. I hope Pommie can help you with that.

I use this its free and user friendly and does not hang like others.!! try it out!
