This Etsy ad popped up in my Facebook feed. Can you believe it? "Computer Chips From NASA Mission Control"! For a mere $28. Each.

"The pictures shown may not be the exact chip you'll receive, but it will be very similar." The first "computer chip" they show is a resistor network. The second is a dynamic memory chip with a 1980 data code. It may have come from some piece of gear used near Mission Control... or from a dusty package hanging on the pegboard at Radio Shack. The real value is the buck and a half plastic box it comes in!

P.T. Barnum would be proud of this seller....
Anything "historical" from NASA would be late 1969 or early 1970 chips, when the first moon missions were made. What is shown are common DIP chips found all over the place, nothing special directly related to NASA at all.
Heck, I have a few 4116 ram chips (which first came out in 1975) as well, no proof they came from NASA.
