Automatic Off-hook.

Can somebody help me with such a circuit, to get the phone line off-hook automatically, say after 10 seconds or so. It can then get back On-hook say after 10 seconds also or so. I need this circuit so I can communicate with my remote control receiver, which uses an MT7780. All the other stuff I'm done except for this, and my project is almost REALLY overdue.

you mean when phone rings, you want phone to pickup call and hang up after 10 seconds? something to deal with telemarketers?

Yes. That is what I'm looking for. All I need is the system to sense the phone ringing, then after a certain time pick up the phone. the principle that is used by answering machines etc.
