We are paying for cable service so we still can use the old analog TV converter box to get TV signals. Normally when the cable converter box is powered on, it is on channel 02 or channel 03. We use the remote control to change to the channel we want to watch. I was wondering if there is a way that we can make the converter to power on with a specific channel other than 02 or 03 ? We don't mind doing some minor soldering work if that is needed.

No not easily, the power up state is determined by the programming in the controller IC. An easy solution is to leave the converter box powered all the time.

Most modulators only work on 2/3. No choice.
I have a box that takes video and modulates it on channel 7.
In the house there is a old hole house antenna system. Cable box 1 sends information through the house on channel 2. Cable box 2 sends information through the house on channel 3. And the camera system sends pictures on channel 7.
