car12V to stable 6v - 9v

I built a few simple project's... one turns my car light's on after dark.. a few other project i have also... what i need to do make it so i can wire these to my car without killing my projects.... the car runs between 12v to 14v
i need this voltage to stay stable from 9v to 6v.... im new to all this. any help would be great!

How much current do you require?

The LM7808 will provide you with up to 1A of output current.

The LM317 will provide you with between 1.25V to 9V at up to 1.5A from a 12V supply.
