Hello, I'm new to the forum and electronics in general. I hope someone can help with a problem on an electonic darts scoreboard. On switch on it does a self test going through numbers 111 - 999. One side is ok, but on the other side the first two rows go through the whole sequence. The bottom three rows show, 777, 222, 333, 444, 777, 888, 777, 888, 999. Would that be a problem with one of the chips?

Could be a chip problem, but a likely cause is an open connection somewhere. If you can get at the circuit, try gently pushing on different areas of the circuit board to see if that affects the operation.
