doorbell with counter ic

I have come up with the project counting the number of visitors.But my circuit doesnt count untill i disenable the display device(7 segment common cathode)or it counts reaching 5 it doesnot move to 6.what can be the possible problem.AM using cmos IC 4026.

Is it posible to share schematic? or at least add some more details please.
