Double Pi Filter

What is the advantage of a single Pi filter compared to a double Pi filter from the signal integrity point of view?

Less loss of the main signal, but more noise is allowed to pass. Funky homework question I think.

Let me change noise to unwanted signals, or out of passband signals.

Are you alluding to thermal noise? I would think this to be insignificant.
