The charging portion is separate on this flashlight.
I couldn't find anything on these GBPT components.
The flashlight has a red and green indicator for the battery and it's been in the red when charging but when I just looked at it, it was still red and then switched to green when I started running my hand over the components looking for a heated defect.
I must have touched something that caused the indicator light to switch from red to green.
Possibly a BD4941, a 4.1V reference+comparator; that could make sense in a lithium cell balance control circuit?
The surface mount code is GB (plus a date or batch code).
I believe you are right RJ, I have 4 volts going into it and nothing coming out, probably because the batteries are charged and the ground is where it should be so thanks for all the information you posted.
