Hi, I have a GE 1 1/2 hp AC motor that is currently wired for 110 . I would like to change it to run onto 220. There is no wiring diagram and the name plate is hard to read, but I think it says 5KC45WC12110. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks Matt

Thank you for responding! Yes, there are 4 posts numbered 1,2,3,4. Currently in the 110 configuration there is a black wire and an orange wire coming from the motor on terminal two. There is a black wire and an orange wire coming from the motor on terminal two. There is a white wire and a red wire going to terminal four. I am guessing the red wire goes to the start capacitor. The motor has two capacitors a start capacitor and a run capacitor. The power I had coming in to the motor the black wire was attached to terminal one and the white wire was attached to terminal four. For some reason I’m having issues loading the photos.

Check that the picture file size is not too large.
Sorry, but I don't know the maximum file size.

Solution
Are the two orange wires going outside the motor to the right going to the the start capacitor or are the the 110 volt supply wires ?

Les.
