Generator data logging

I have a project ,that i want to take voltage analog meter reading on my PC continously and to save reading per hour.
I have to use ADC inbuilt microcontroller . Which microcontroller to be used?
And if u have interfacing of it with pc ,then PLZ reply it 2 me
