As usual those percentages need a little background in math to explain why the vaccine is very effective in the prevention of sickness and death even with some breakthrough cases.

Based on the first video (which is obviously a giant oversimplification), it's impossible for the proportion of vaccinated ppl in hospital to be greater than the proportion of vaccinated ppl in general population.

For the 95% stated by the Israeli doctor, there would have to be a near 100% vaccination rate of the most-at-risk, which is believable, or some other factor.

I mean, outside of China where (reportedly) volunteering to have their vaccine is widely seen as compulsory; nobody is forcing anyone to have it; just advising them too.

We also advise people not to put their hands into fires. We don't see too many people viewing that as an infringement of their personal rights.

Some parts of Australia are rolling out a "No jab, no job" policy, so it's not just "advice"; it's coercion and discrimination.

Anyone that has had a campfire likely would've put their hand in many times; it would be an infringement on their personal rights to now exclude them from working or entering a building, travelling, etc. because of that.

In the US the 65+ population is ~92% single and ~82% fully vaccinated. Wisdom grows with age..

The virus doesn't care about personal rights or infringement. There is no personal right not to get vaccinated because those rights are useless if we are dead. The Constitution is not a suicide pact guaranteeing a right to harm others and there is 'clear and present danger' in not being vaccinated without a valid medical reason.

I would say that without vaccinations and reasonable precautions, travel and buildings are not allowed, shouldn't they be? Should the whole region be put on hiatus because of you alone? With all the economic development stalled and all the losses so much, once a place stops moving, the economy comes to a halt! How many farmers, how many stores closed down during the time when the epidemic started, have you seen it? You definitely haven't, because you're only biased to see the bad side

Yes. But they are far, far less likely to become so if they don't come into contact with the unvaccinated.

Maybe employers are looking for team players who will help the business succeed by working together, not make every decision on what they, the selfish individual employee wants to do.

The campfire thing is not a helpful analogy. You're still thinking narrowly about risk and harm to the individual and not considering the wider population (made up of individuals).

Holders of Israel’s vaccine passports must get a third dose of the Pfizer -BioNTech vaccine within six months of their second dose, or lose the so-called green pass that allows them more freedom.

There is nothing the guy engineered that couldn't be designed by a EE undergrad today. He's was a great mind for the 1880's but by the time he died he was a small footnote (and eventually a SI standard term) in modern scientific theories.
