Make sure you use google and the search featureon these forums. They will answer almost any basic question.

Start with Wikipedia Andrew. Come back in about 6 months =) Every entry you look up will lead you to 10 other entries you know nothing about at first. There's an enormous amount of information out there already.

Andy, just cause it's one of those things that irks me. (Not that I'm a grammar god mind you) but it's not alot, it's a lot =)
