You definetley need to add more details for people to give you useful advice. How will the robot move? Are you going to use a microcontroller or not? More details.

what kind of detail?
I want to keep it as simple as possible.
Id preferr not to use a micro controller.

Your idea won't work without some kind of amplification. If you are using small motors then you may only need transistors.
