ok so here is my ordeal i am planning on making an infrared beam that when set off will take a picture with a digital camera atached and is there any way to hook up a wifi to it to get it sent to my computer the ir seems easy enough but i cant figure out how to set it to the digital camera so that it takes a picture or if i could get it so the digital camera doesnt save it it just gets automaticly sent to my computer plz help i sorta know what im doing but not really

First of all, you need a digital camera that can be triggered electronically. Most digital cameras don't have readily usable external triggers, so you have to hack them (i.e. take them apart and modify them) in order to be able to electronically trigger them. Many cameras have been figured out, and most of these have been done in order to take pictures from a kite. So I'd search Google for "kite digital camera" and see what turns up.

Here are some specific links to check out:

This one is a pretty good and inexpensive digital camera that has been hacked:

If the guy you were talking to is so clever, why doesn't he show you how to do it? :D

As suggested, you can get IP wireless cameras that do exactly what you're looking for!.

ip wireless cammeras? how exspensive are they because i need to make 5 to 10 of them for a building it might sound random but were going to put them in a haunted house and see if we can get any paranormal evidence just stating has no relevance go on
