Help with IC and Transistors

Dear all,

I am having a difficulties on finding a stock of the following: 4017B - IC Decade counter and BC550 Transistor. Do you guys know other IC which has the similar use/function that I can replace to what I will do?... I am going to make a Dice Game for my nephew. Anyone please help me thanks..

Why can't you find stock?

If you would let us know your location, possibly someone could help you out as to where to buy these.
These 2 parts are possibly 2 of the most common components around, EVERYONE should have stock of these.
