help with some redesign to a switching circuit

hi all!!! i was reading through the forums and found this

i was wondering if anyone could help me redesign this circuit for only 8 switches instead of 12. im working on a switching system for my guitar pedals and this would be perfect. any help is appreciated.

Just remove S9, 10, 11, and 12. Of course, Y8, 9, 10, and 11 won't work any more.

That is just crazy enough it might work... Can I say lol here.

Of course you could leave S9 thru S12 in and just don't press them.

what kind of switches would be best. im not exactly sure how it will work since i need 8 stomp switches on the floor....

I'm missing the Y-inputs connected to complete rows of keys.

Please compare with the datasheet.

i mean would i use spst, spdt, dpst, dpdt etc type stomp switches
