Hi have been using my denon precision audio component / av surround reviver for a little over a year. i was watching a movie when it just shut off. the standby light came on, i tried to shut it off the on again but it stayed on i took the top cover off and checked if it had over heated, it was fine i have good ventilation nothing was warm. i unplugged it and waited about 1 minute turned it back on and there was no display only the stand by light was on. how do i fix it !

I found this:

Question
The red standby led on my receiver is blinking. What do I do?

Answer
Your unit has gone into protection mode. There are a number of things that could cause this. You want to make sure you have at least four inches of clearance between the top of the receiver and any other device or shelf. You also want to watch your volume to make sure you are keeping it below zero. Also confirm that you have no speaker wire exposed that may touch either other speaker wire or the chassis of the receiver. What you can try to resolve the issue is to remove all speakers from the unit, and if the problem goes away add them set by set until you're able to determine which speaker is causing the issue. If this does not resolve the issue you will need to have the item repaired. You can find the closest service center to you by going to **broken link removed**

I would think this should be covered in the owners manual? If it is blinking as above there is a possibility it is seeing an overload condition.
