How to know the maximum current able to flow to a "Variable Resistors" or "Trimpot"?.

I have a variable resistor that weighs 5 pounds. I think it will handle 350mA. It will handle 10 amps.

9.1 volts X 350mA = 3.2 watts
You need a 26 ohm, 5 watt trimpot.

CTS Electrocomponents
Part number 026TB32R250B1A1

Maybe I don't know what you are trying to do. There are better ways to make 0 to 9 volts.

Trim pots are not designed to take any current at all.
A circuit is very poorly designed if the pot or trim pot takes any current.
You need to take a course to learn electronics.
