For this type of problems, the "#sim" directive has been added in this latest update of the IDE, which does not affect the .hex file but does preconfigure the simulator, thus facilitating debugging.

#sim RB0 = 1 'Simulating Jumper Pin RB0 = 1
#sim AN4 = 511 'Simulating value pin AN4 = 511

No it was me... The code is working.. RB0 switches correctly.. I forgot the sim delay time was set..
This caused mayhem on a real deveice.
